Everyday is like Sunday—if brunch is involved!
My friends and I checked out the brunch-coffee shop Cupitol yesterday.
During prime brunch time—11:30 a.m. on a Sunday—the place was rather crowded and loud. But we managed to find a table nonetheless. Some of the space is reserved for coffee and laptop usage whereas as the rest is designated for traditional brunching.
It’s sort of a strange vibe, not gonna lie. Some customers are quietly typing away on comfy armchairs while others are tipsily chitchatting over mimosas.
Awkward atmosphere aside, the food was fabulous. Cupitol has a wide variety of caffeinated drinks, from the classic cappuccino to the nontraditional Nutella latte. (I didn’t try the latte and have been thinking about it since…Ragrets!)
Cupitol’s brunch menu is laden with eggs: “classic breakfast” with eggs any style, 3 kinds of omelette, eggs benedict, and “gravlax & eggs.” I chose the “shroomed omelette.” It was huge. Loaded with veggies, it tasted healthy and delicious. A good choice, I would say!
If you are bEGGing for other options, don’t fear; different flavors of pancakes, French toast, Belgian waffles, and breakfast sandwiches are also here.
Personally, I think this place’s greatest asset is that it’s not trendy right now, despite its delicious food. The location is slightly off the beaten path, so the wait time is little to none.
It’s a nice place to go for an unplanned yet satisfying brunch!
